Veggie Juice Recipe

I've been feeling off and sluggish recently and trying everything to feel better. This morning I decided to make a veggie "smoothie". I've been reading how amazing veggie juice is for energy and glowing skin, so why not try my own? As much as I love Naked Green Machine it has WAY too many carbohydrates. Try this option for almost no carbs (the few carbs are healthy, long-lasting carbs). Although I definitely do not prefer it over a fruit smoothie the nutritional benefits seem to be worth it! At least the color looks nice ....

Alkaline Green Juice Recipe

Adjust as you prefer (I just experimented a bit)

2 Celery Stocks (cut off leaves)

1 Cup Spinach (wash)

1/2 cucumber (peeled)

4 Baby Carrots

1/2 apple (un-peeled)

1/2-1 tbsp. Fresh Ginger Root

Some water to get the blender going

Ice, if you wish

I Love .... Fresh Mint Tea

One of my favorite drinks when I come back to Amsterdam is fresh mint tea ("verse muntthee"). I haven't found a place in New York that serves it the way they do here. Pure and simple: hot water in a heat-proof glass with a huge bunch of fresh mint leaves. Delicious and easy to make at home!
